The food is presented cold and tastes much worse than it did before, which is a stark contrast.
Additionally quite expensive.
The service was brusque, unfriendly, and largely nonexistent.
quite packed because they choose to block off certain areas.
We were required to replenish the water even though there was a service fee.

When they were at the original Rendezvous Hotel on Bras Basah Road, it was my favorite restaurant growing up.
The cuisine evokes so many pleasant memories.
took my parents to dinner, and my father recalled being there as a teenager in the 1960s.

Every time I eat here, the Nasi Padang reminds me of something nostalgic. I've eaten at their restaurant on Bras Basah Road for years, and the taste has been the same. Is there anyone else who can recall the "cowboy swing doors" that lead into the restaurant? Strongly suggested if you enjoy lemak gravy! Sambal sotong, chicken curry, and beef rendang are my go-to dishes. The greatest hot gravy sauce to go with rice may be made by combining the gravies from these three recipes. Enjoy their well-known chendol dessert to cap it off; you won't be sorry.

The sotong and chicken were both nicely prepared, however the beef was rough and overcooked. curry had a rich, flavorful texture.

As a lot of people have pointed out, the food might not be served hot because the hot curry was added after the ingredients had been cooked and diced separately.
