Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi

The resort is nicely remote, directly at the beach. It's large but able to create a personal feel to it. We had a room directly at the beach. The hotel facilities particularly for kids are outstanding. The not so good experience is the food for both breakfast and dinner at the CBA. Also, there is a particular group of staff which is unacceptably lazy and for a resort of that price and standard a shame. We were met at the pool bar by 4 staff not greeting nor asking what we would like.. When approached 1 specific individual he was busy with his phone even after we made a point

Room is slippery due to the flooring finishing. I fell once n almost fell a few times. Some staff are friendly and helpful. Some are almost borderline rude. Especially the front desk. No smile at all from the female staff. For an expensive hotel, i expect customer service to be top notch with everyone. But i love the hotel, rooms are great and spacious. Food was great, only people needs to be more friendly and helpful.

Really feels like a second home. We completely relax once we arrive here on holiday. Staff greet you every day with a cheerful smile and nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful location, lovely staff, great rooms with oh so comfortable beds - what more can you want???

My friends and I have been visiting Meritus Pelangi for the past 4 years now and it has never failed to disappoint. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and facilities are ample. The food is equally amazing. A definite place to stay if you stay when visiting Langkawi.

Pros: Great staff, prompt buggy service, nice poolside and beachside lounging. Cons: Loud critters, mosquitoes circling right outside door waiting to attack. The rooms are in 8-suite blocks but for some reason when a doorbell rings in another unit it's so loud you'd think it's your own. Worst of all, the room has a skylight that shines you awake, which was horrible for a super light sleeper like myself. What's the point of having blackout curtains when you design your rooms like that?

Only been here a day so far, but already very impressed. Staff very friendly and can't do enough. Breakfast outstanding, live music in two areas. Had an issue with the lock on the balcony door and within 10 minutes was fixed, maintenance crew super fast. Only disappointment is the weather, constant showers, but out of our control

Nice beach, excellent swimming pools, good services, nice staff and efficient shuttle services. However, the following item could be improved. 1) Not enough lighting in the room and it is a little bit dark. 2) Mosquitoes, lizards, and fly were found in the room. 3) No fruit to be provided in the room
