Gymboree Play & Music offers music classes for kids age 5 years old and below. However, there will be no formal or proper music class. The class offered is only for growth of the kids and it is good for kids to play around with music at that age.

We go and we LOVE it!!!! We go on Saturday mornings from 10:45 11:30 for the class. We go to the level 4 class which is for the 16 22 months but DS was too advanced (walking and climbing) for the level 3 which is right for the age group. They let us try both for free. We also have access to the free gym time on Thursday nights from 6:15 7:30 and Monday mornings from 9:30 10:45. We cant go to the Monday classes because I work. Its 72 dollars per month but if you break it down for 2 3 gym times a week it only 6 dollars a class. DS goes to my SIL for daycare (and we pay her as much as we would pay daycare) so I feel he needs to get out of the house and the socialization he gets at gymboree.

Nicole said she had enrolled her lovely Isabelle for the entire play and music package. I even saw an old classmate with her son. So, I guess if you really want to check out Gymboree and believe that this is where your children should go to for their play and learn sessions, I would suggest that you make your way to the one in Bangsar Village, Level 1. I cannot promise you anything but at least you'd feel better to know that the teacher tries her very best to make the session fun and exciting. But, I would still like to add that Nicole shared with me some tinge of disappointment that there weren't any interactions among the children or parents. I guess parents would always hope that play sessions like these would teach the kids to socialise. But with protective and cautious parents nowadays, there is no way of seeing kids making friends if there are no encouragement from parents. So with that, I still think that the environment is not really suitable for my Jada. Still, what may not work perfectly for our toddler doesn't necessarily mean that it is not good for yours. No two children are exactly alike.
