Ramai tidak sedar mereka mempunyai Hernia (menghidap angin pasang) sehingga menjalankan pemeriksaan kesihatan disebabkan masalah lain. Ini disebabkan Hernia tidak menyebabkan simptom seperti sakit, jadi ramai tidak peka terhadap 'kehadirannya'.
