I needed my gallbladder removed due to a huge gallstone that was causing me pain. Initially I went to see another doctor first but because he was on leave for more than two weeks, I decided I couldn't wait that long. I was reffered to Dr. Foo by another sjmc Dr that mentioned he was 'a man of few word but is really skilled with his hands' also nurses mentioned he was good, so that was really assurring as this would be my first surgery.
It was mentioned by the first Dr that because the stone was so big, he might not be able to achieve it through laparoscopy and therefore resulting to open surgery and that was scary. That Dr also mentioned he may have to make a bigger incision around my belly button. I was worried and it psychically and mentally agonising.
So all in all I was glad that Dr Foo took my case. He was confident from the start and did a great job. He managed it through laparoscopy and the incisions were small and healing process was quite quick. He's a great surgeon, but well in response to other comments, don't expect him to baby you but if you need to know anything just ask, he seems straight forward and does not like to waste time. My experience with him was pleasant overall but also generally I do a lot of my own research and ask nessesary ones.
