Before this, I wrote an article on popular female gynaecologists around KL & Selangor, popular male gynaecologists around KL & Selangor and also Penang. Since there were many looking for gynaecologist and obstetrics in other states, I decided to write another article regarding this topic. This time round I realised that, there are not many recommendations for gynaes’ around Johor. With that on mind, I did a little research for popular or famous obstetricians (OB) in Johor, I got to find a few frequently mentioned doctors for pregnancy check-up, helping couples to conceive and also for high-risk pregnancy.
So, I compiled them and listed them here. Hope it helps you as starting point for your hunt for good gynaecologists in Johor.

After having initial training here in Malaysia, he went to gain membership and further training in obstetrics and gynaecology from Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist of the United Kingdom. He is more to helping infertile couples to conceive and is always giving advices on keeping a pregnancy safe, safe. He is very friendly and caring. He is also avery good listener, so before giving the solution he listens to your questions and problems properly. He specialises in In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) or more commonly known as test tube baby. If you are having trouble getting pregnant or had history of miscarriage, you might want to see him as his experience in this field is vast. So, you don’t have to worry if his clinic is far or whether there is a long waiting line. You can meet him at the other destinations as well. He gives you full detailed explanation and tends to answer your questions till you are satisfied with the answers given.
Dr Tan is a private Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He obtained his post-graduate degree and further training from the United Kingdom (UK). He is also the member of the Royal College of Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, UK. He owns a clinic named Clinic Tan (England) in Johor. He also serves for IVF Bridge Fertility Centre as the leading fertility specialist. Dr Tan also specialises in the procedure of test tube baby. If you are trying to conceive twins or triplets, you can go to his clinic for a consultation. He helps infertile couples have children. He is said to be friendly but also very straightforward. He might hurt your feelings if you’re getting more sensitive during pregnancy.

Dr Sharifah Halimah Jaafar is a consultant of O&B at Regency Specialist Hospital, Johor. She gives all her patients the feel that they deserve a dedicated and compassionate doctor who should provide good service quality care and also be a friend to their patient. She is caring and very detailed like a mother is as she herself is a mother of three (3)! She obtained a Medical Degree in Medicine (M.D) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She later specialized in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in UKM as well. She has worked in several government hospitals in Perak and Penang for nearly 15 years mostly in the field of women’s health before she set up her own private obstetrics & gynaecology practice at Regency Specialist Hospital. She contributed a few systematic review study in the field of pregnancy and childbirth.
