Pros: Unique decor and style from the 1930/40s Cons: More interesting menu Location: Lakeside location a little spoilt by major ongoing works on lake resulting in some noise and muddy coloured waters. Stayed here in early March in a standard room. Staff made a special effort for us as our stay was part of a special anniversary trip by decorating our room and our table at dinner with rose petals and presented us wth a cake after our first nights dinner nice touch. Found the staff especially friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. The hotel is a little isolated from any bars/restaurants which means taking a 15mins drive to nearest town. The service in restaurant is good but the food although presented well is not the most interesting or tasty. However over all we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful hotel with helpful staffs and great amenities! We had a lovely time at our stay at The Lakehouse from 4 5 July 2015. This place is a good 20 minutes drive from Tanah Rata; however, I liked how it was secluded in a natural setting surrounded by mountains and a lake. It was a pity, and perhaps the only downside, that the lake was yellowish and muddy looking. That aside, the whole place had a very charming, old English style and ambience. I noticed how the housekeepers' uniform were even put into consideration to suit the theme! The staffs were nice and friendly. We were also given a welcome drink and hot towels to freshen up when we arrived at the hotel, after a long journey to the Cameron Highlands. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and other travellers! Stayed July 2015, travelled with friends
