What you guys do is a very noble thing to do, Heroes in disguise. Sad to see generation today is so prone to self-harm & suicide. Thumbs up to Kenny (one of the staff) for giving a very interactive, fun, yet educational talk about suicide.

I feel the need to express my utmost gratitude to one of the volunteers who worked on the night shift on 11/2/2017. He (David, if I'm not mistaken) was a really good listener, and unlike some of the other volunteers, would rephrase words in a way that made me see the situation in a different light, which allowed me to think in a whole new perspective. The Befrienders might not be able to solve problems at all, but it gives me a sense of safety, knowing that I have an SOS number that I can call from my phone 24/7 - that I am always safe from the part of me which wanted to die rather than to continue fighting on. When I initially picked up the phone to dial on, I did not, at all, have any expectation as to what I want to get out of the call. It just seemed like an alternative option available for me at the time at which I felt the intense urge to 'do something'. I can't say enough about how many times this phone line had saved my life. Thank you so so much for the service and for the existence of the entire organisation. Keep up the good work.
