‘MARU’ is an old Korean word meaning ‘a top of the mountain’ or ‘a summit’, which implies our wish that every member of our institute will be the great in future and also embrace our hope and determination to make our member of MARU successful in their Career and put them on the top wherever they pursue.

Conventional institutes providing various language classes generally focus on only teaching inside the center, just no more than delivering knowledge. For my personal experiences, however, I always felt that something was desperately needed to improve language skill and I sensed what I actually lacked for my learning with those typical schools.

That is more interactive and enthusiastic ‘communication’ between learners and institute and efficient ‘practice’ involving natives which I felt missed and needed much more than grammar and vocabulary. An institute that I have felt should constantly try to catch what learners actually need when they learn. However, most of conventional language institutes have done otherwise.


In fact many who try to learn foreign language just know and feel the same as what I felt. True, effective and efficient way to enhance language skill is how often you can get more opportunities to communicate and practice with the native and use language with them as much as possible. Here comes another meaning of MARU which means ‘living room’. Traditionally MARU is a space used for family gathering where very interactive family communication and sharing take place.

MARU’s true goal and motto is to give our members a full satisfaction until saying enough. You may come to MARU not only for getting knowledge and information about language but also communicating with others, practicing and using whatever you have been learning, sharing your experience and sometime providing what you have to others just as good and old time Korean fellows have done. Just like a place everyone has dreamed about and I dreamed about as well. I assure and guarantee that ‘MARU’ will be the place just like mentioned above.
