MASIA or Persatuan Kecederaan Spina Malaysia is a National Association of people with Spinal Cord Injuries of all races from all walks of life, resident in Malaysia. It is a self help group of people with spinal cord injuries, controlled and run by them. MASIA is recognised by the Government as a Non- Governmental Organization of people with disabilities / orang kurang upaya (OKU). MASIA was formed in 1994 and its office is located at Cheras Jaya. Currently, MASIA has approximately 550 members all over Malaysia. The association is dedicated to the task of securing equal rights and opportunities for spinal cord injured people in this country by working collectively and fraternally for their own socio-economic advancement with the view of enabling them to become responsible, useful and productive citizens. Many of our members are facing problems with poverty to purchase their daily essential medical/rehabilitation aids. Our vision is to assist them to lead independent lives without fear and comprehension as well as to integrate them into the society and be a part of the productive workforce of the nation
