Claim businessIn 1985, the first class on Chenshi Taijiquan ( Chen Style taichi ) in the country was started by us at Thean Hou Temple, Kuala Lumpur ( KL ). In 1987, Selangor & Federal Territory Chenshi Taijiquan Association was formed.
Many have not heard of Chenshi Taijiquan at that time. The founders' hardwork in introducing this martial art slowing gaining recognition and the number of students have always been increasing.
In 1990 & 1992, we invited Grand Master Chen Xiao Wang to Thean Hou Temple to train us on Chenshi Taijiquan. We learned Lao Jia Yi Lu, Lao Jia Er Lu, 38 Form, Competition Form, Dan Jian (Sword), Push Hand and the theory and practice of Chenshi Taijianquan from him. In one of the classes, he demostrated the power of Chenshi Taijiquan by letting the students to line up to push him and he was not even moved slightly. In 1992, our association has been renamed as Malaysia Chenshi Taijiquan Association.
In 1993 & 1995, we invited Grand Master Chen Zheng Lei to Thean Hou Temple to train us on Xin Jia Yi Lu, Xin Jia Er Lu, Push Hand, Shi San Gan (Pole), Dan Dao, Shuang Jian, Shuang Dao and Double Mace. This has improved our knowledge in the weapon technique in Chenshi Taijiquan.
In 1996, we invited Grand Master Ma Hong to Thean Hou Temple to train us on Xin Jia Yi Lu, Push Hand and practical use of Chenshi Taijiquan.
In 2001, we invited Master Zhang Bao Zhong, the great disciple of Grand Master Wang Xi An, to Thean Hou Temple to train us on Lao Jia Yi Lu, Push Hand and Qin Na techniques of Chenshi Taijiquan.
