Seet Hooi Ping

Hooi Ping was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Courts of Malaya in July 1992. Hooi Ping was admitted as a Corporate Partner at Albar & Partners in April 2007 - December 2008. 

Hooi Ping’s practice covers a range of corporate and securities laws matters, with particular emphasis in M&As (including cross-border), take-overs (both voluntary and mandatory take-over offers), reverse take-overs, joint ventures, venture capital, foreign direct investments, divestments, corporate and debt restructuring, including corporate governance, competition laws and real-estate investment trusts. Her practice includes Banking & Finance transactions, often advising in bilateral, syndicated & club-lending transactions, multi-facility loans, bridging loans, project financing, asset financing, share financing, cross border financing, offshore lending, mezzanine & subordinate debt instruments and securitisation. Hooi Ping has experience in handling a wide range of equity, debt equity-linked, hybrid and derivative products and capital raising exercises involving share placement, underwriting, rights issue and issuance of private debt securities, including issuance of bonds, commercial papers and medium-term notes (both conventional and Islamic).
