Currently, the Legal Advisor at Asia School of Business (ASB), managing and heading the Legal, Corporate Secretarial and Compliance Department until April 2022.
Assisting the General Counsel on the day to day legal operations of vetting, perusing and advising on legal documents, as well as researching and drafting of legal documents as well as being the Liaison persons between the Management and the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee members and preparing and organizing of Board and AC meetings, amongst other things.
Had the opportunity to serve the former MACC Chief, Pn Latheefa Koya from 2019 to 2020 as her Special Officer. 9 months full of priceless experience. After the turn of the new govt and she left, I then served the current MACC Chief and concentrated on research and was involved in law reforms initiatives. Researched, benchmarked and prepared the initial paper on Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) in Malaysia and presented it to the CC of MACC and the taskforce in the AGC Malaysia. I also had the opportunity to complete the Certified Integrity Officer program and am awaiting for certification.
Was part of the Asset Recovery Taskforce of Stolen Assets in the 1MDB related cases.
Former Managing Partner and Syarie Lawyer at Messrs Sasha Lyna & Partners with 12 years of legal practice experience. I was also involved in public interest litigation that involved human rights issues in Malaysia and was against the draconian law such as ISA, SOSMA, POCA and POTA.
With experience in both legal practice and anti-corruption specialising in prevention initiatives and specialising in corporate liability law and adequate measures requirements.
