LIS started with humble beginnings but with a big mission and vision in 1996. It had a population of only 5 Primary students and 3 Kindergarten students with an academic staff of 6 teachers including the Principal. The School was then located at Jalan Tenaga but later moved to Tanjung Batu, Membidai. In 1997, LIS started its secondary education with 6 students and by 1998, the population had risen to a total of 71 students.
In 1999, LIS had two curriculums - The LIS-Integrated British Curriculum and SSL-Integrated Malaysian Curriculum. The reception class was terminated. SSL started operations with 6 classes from Primary 1 to 6 comprising of 33 students. That was the year when the first batch of LIS students sat for the UPSR examination. It was also the year that saw the handing over of the management of the School to Labuan Financial Services Authotiry (LFSA) - Formerly known as Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA).
By 2000, the School number of students grew tremendously. It reached a figure of 174 students. In the year 2001, we experienced another change of management when Sara Equity Sdn Bhd took over from LFSA. In 2002, the management of the school saw its fourth and final change when LFSA (Pristine Era Sdn Bhd) again took over from Sara Equity. In 2012, the School relocated to Jalan Tanjung Aru, Kerupang.
