This is actually our second time at Teratak Bonda. About 2 years ago we had a 2D1N quick getaway, for just the 6 of the us, and stayed at Sunrise. This time, there's 16 of us, over a 3D2N getaway. We now stay at Both Teratak Bonda and Sunrise. Much to our surprise, Mrs Teng actually remembered our smallest girl from our first visit.
The kids loved our entire stay and the things stuck in their heads were: (1) The frequent swims at both infinity pools, (2) The short hike up to the end of road to watch the entire forest area, (3) The 3 friendly dogs, (4) The beautiful scenery.
The wife loved Teratak Bonda for (1) The open air bathrooms, (2) The vast beautiful panoramic view from our bedroom, the kitchen, the dining area, the deck, and practically everywhere you look at, (3) The nice architecture of recycled traditional building materials.
Mrs Teng, Mr Teng, and Patrick are all very friendly folks. The Tengs showed me around the place, the special aromatic Kesidang plant, the flowering petai tree, the Musang King durian tree and so on. My nephew had a nasty tumble down the steep slope and was crying non stop, and it was Patrick who patiently applied antiseptic, cotton swabs, Handyplast and all the while consoling the little boy. Yup, very friendly retreat owners! They even invited me to join them on their evening run to the house of the local Malay lady who prepared our food, just so that we could be sure that our food is halal!
Room Tip: Go for Teratak Bonda if you want a totally open plan space
