Consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr S. Silvam spoke about the common gynaecological cancers in the country, including breast, cervical, ovarian and uterine (endometrium) cancer, and stressed the need for understanding the nature of the disease, and taking some simple preventive measures that can lead to detection of many of the diseases at the early stage.
