Dr Premitha was the gynecologist we consulted when my wife was expecting our first child. Throughout the nine monthly check-ups, she was patient (never once did she rush us through the appointment), meticulous and encouraging.
She was in the hospital at 0530 Hrs on the day of the delivery. Being allowed to witness the operation, I saw a professional at work. Our daughter was delievered healthily and safely despite having the umbilical cord around her neck.
I only have good things to say about her.

Endometriosis ialah gangguan bergantung estrogen yang boleh mengakibatkan morbiditi yang tinggi termasuk sakit pelvis, pembedahan berulang kali dan kemandulan. Menurut Dr Premitha, endometriosis berlaku apabila tisu yang biasanya melapisi bahagian dalam rahim atau dikenali sebagai endometrium tumbuh di luar rahim terutama di sekitar kawasan pelvis, usus dan dalam keadaan yang jarang berlaku di dalam perut atau paru-paru.

基因也可能是患上子宫内膜异位症的原因之一。若有家庭成员曾患上此病症，那你患上此病症的几率比常人高出10倍。荷尔蒙失调也是因素之一，有些女性因雌激素过多，黄体素（又称孕激素，Progesterone）偏低，以致容易长巧克力囊肿。另外，压力及免疫低落也有可能导致子宫内膜异位症。子宫内异位症是一项慢性疾病，治疗方法包括止痛药及黄体素治疗，患者只有在最糟糕及别无选择下，才会切除子宫及卵巢。患者需要持续性接受治疗，透过药物及打针，减缓痛楚及对身体的伤害。只有在必要时，才建议患者动手术。"

柏米达医生也解释说男人也会患上子宫内膜异位症。曾有男性在膀胱、前列腺及腹部前壁发现子宫内膜组织，但类似案例不多，低于10宗。这些男性皆因前列腺癌症，而长期接受雌激素治疗。在日本一名69岁的男性曾患有前列腺癌，而接受长达9年的雌激素治疗；医生随后在其左副睾丸发现长出5x3公分的巧克力囊肿。

If you're all right with the prices at Pantai, another doctor you might consider is Dr Premitha - she's got lovely bedside manners (no questions are too silly and when you are with her, she actually looks at you when she talks to you about what you're going through rather than looking at a computer) and is always a calming and encouraging presence whenever I go in for check-ups.
