I have just delivered my first child 2 months ago under Dr. Ng Soon Pheng. I would like to share my experience throughout this pregnancy. I personally find Dr Ng is professional in his approach and explains clearly after every antenatal visit. I have no medical background, but find that his methods are reasonable and logical. He tries to involve my husband and I into making decision for my childbirth. He makes sure we understand the risks involved in each mode of delivery. We are actually open to whichever method that ensures the best outcome for our newborn. We finally decided for planned Caesarean delivery. Looking back, that is our best decision. Everything went as planned and my baby came out crying his lungs out. He weighed a chubby 3.8kg.
The first day, I was confined in bed and I was encouraged to walk the second day. It was challenging at first, but I was told that active movement will encourage healing. Soon I got used to it and the pain was bearable. By the third day, I was told by Dr Ng that I can go home, after checking my wound. I came back to see him one week later to remove my stiches. He interviewed me to make sure that I am coping with my newborn physically as well as mentally. I came back one month later for a pap smear and told that my uterus had returned to its original size. Looking back, my husband and I had a pleasant experience with our doctor. He is caring and experienced in his work. I would recommend my friends to see him without hesitation. Thank you, Dr Ng.
