黄章元医生透露，人只要到了60岁，脑部功能都会有退化跡象，如果怀疑患上失智症，接下来要做的就是评估。医学上来说，患上初期失智症不会马上用药治疗，医生只会给予建议，以日常活动来避免恶化，但来到中期或后期就需要进一步治疗了。
