BORDERS began as an 800-square-foot used books bookstore at 211 S, South State St. in Ann Arbor. By 1999, it was an international chain bookstore with over 36, 000 employees worldwide.

In 2005, the first BORDERS franchise store was opened in Berjaya Times Square, and was the proud accomplishment of Berjaya Books Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Berjaya Corporation Berhad.

The franchise has since expanded to 7 stores in the Klang Valley and Penang.

At BORDERS, the love for reading is instilled through not just a wide selection of books, but also through affordable prices and in-store activities for children and adults alike.

More comfortable and better design compare with Popular and MPH, but the price is always slightly higher than them?

What I love about Borders is that there is always a Starbucks in it! Not sure if this is true for every store, but at least those that I frequent are! :)
