Art Therapy Academy

The Art Therapy Academy (ATA) was informally founded in Malaysia in December 2008. The first class in ATA was started with merely three (3) students and these classes were conducted on part time basis whereby the trainer commuted between Australia and Malaysia on a regular basis. ATA was then officially established as a sole proprietor business entity effective June 2009.

Since then, the Art Therapy students have multiplied to tenfold and many of them are currently serving in voluntary bodies to help communities on a part time basis. As the founder envisions that usage of art therapy to be expanded as viable business venture, ATA was re-formed as a limited company in March 2012 to chart a new wave to meet greater demand to train more helping professionals.
