Status Checking 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M)
1. How to check my BR1M status?
i) Status checking via online
You may visit the e-BR1M official website: https://ebr1m.hasil.gov.my. Then, click the ‘Semakan Status’ button and choose ‘Semakan Status 2017’.
ii) Status checking via mobile app
You may check your status by using Semakan BR1M app. Following are the steps for status checking for the first time of using this app.
a) Download the ‘Semakan BR1M’ at Play Store/ App Store in mobile phone.
b) After you opened the app, the home page will be shown.
c) For status checking, click ‘Semakan’ button. Key in your MyCard number and click ‘Semakan Status’.
d) Answer 2 security questions correctly. Users will be given 3 chances to answer each of the questions. If you failed to answer the security questions for 3 times, you won’t be allowed to continue the status checking with your MyCard number. You have to call any branches of LHDNM to check your status.
e) However, users can change the questions by clicking on ‘Tukar Soalan’ button if they are unable to answer it.
f) Result of application status will be shown if users answer the 2 questions correctly.
g) Users may click the ‘Hubungi’ button to call if they have any enquiries.
iii) Status checking via phone call
You may call the Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia, hotline no. 03-88824565 / 03-88824566 or call the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) 1-800-88-2716 (toll free number) for status checking. Phone call is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on working days.
iv) Status checking by visiting the branches of LHDNM
You may visit the branches of LHDNM at each of the states in Malaysia:
a) Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM)
b) Pusat Khidmat Hasil Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri
c) UTC Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia?
2. My application status is “PERMOHONAN DITERIMA”, does it mean that my application is successful?
It shows that applicants registered for BR1M 2017 but the government haven’t check and verify the qualification of applicants. For applicants with this status, it doesn’t mean that your application is approved, especially for the beneficiaries of BR1M 2015 who didn’t update their information. It is risky for them as their BR1M 2017 application may not be valid except the senior citizens who don’t have family or close relatives.
3. My status is “PERMOHONAN DALAM PROSES”, what should I do now?
It means that your application is in the checking and verifying process, all you need to do is wait and check the status from time to time.
4. I checked my status and what is the meaning of PERMOHONAN DITANGGUHKAN?
It means that your application is not yet registered as you didn’t update the information starting from BR1M 2014 to BR1M 2016. You will receive an inform letter that notify you to update your BR1M information by submitting the appeal form (update form) BR1M 2017 (BK-07) during the appeal period, starting from 03 April 2017 to 31 May 2017. Failing to do so will cause your application for BR1M 2017 to be rejected.
Application for 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M)
1. Who qualifies for BRIM 2017? What are the requirements?
i. Malaysian residing in Malaysia
ii.Male or female who is the head of the household with an income RM4,000 or below.
iii. Elderly aged 60 years old and above with income RM4,000 or below.
iv. Single individual aged 21 years old and above with income RM2,000 or below.
v. Students that receive Kad Debit Pelajar is not included.
2. How to apply BR1M 2017?
i. Online Application
Applications can be made online at e-BR1M, visit https://ebr1m.hasil.gov.my, the official website of Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM). It is highly recommended that you keep a copy of your application form.
ii. Form Application
You can get the application form for free at:

b. Branches of LHDNM/ Pusat Khidmat Hasil (PKH) LHDNM / Pusat Transformasi Bandar (UTC) LHDNM
3. What are the types of subsidies available?
BRIM 2017 is an aid scheme and it will be pay in stages. Compare to 2016, there had been a few changes in BRIM 2017, including the amount of aid received by recipients and there are allocations for family and individuals.
The allocation is divided into 3 categories:
i. Household income RM 3,000 and below
Allocation increased from RM 1000 to RM 1200.
ii. Household income RM 3,001 and below
Allocation increased from RM 800 to RM 900.
iii. Single individual with income RM 2000 and below
Allocation increased from RM 400 to RM 450.

1. When will I receive the payment of BR1M?
The subsidy will be distributed over 3 payments in different dates for households, and 1 for single applicants. The table below list down the payment dates for different categories:

You can cash your vouchers at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) only.

1. Why my BRIM application rejected?
Your application may be rejected for many reasons, here are the most common reasons:
i) Wrong information filled in your application form.
ii) Didn’t update application for the recent 3 years especially for the past BR1M beneficiaries.
iii) Applicant is the beneficiary of Kad Debit Pelajar.
iv) Application submitted more than 1 time.
v) Total household income exceeded BR1M eligibility, verified by agencies.
vi) Applicant/ Spouse/ Dependencies has a registered business but income information is not verified by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM).
viii) Applicant/ Applicant’s Spouse/ Applicant’s dependencies information is not complete.
