The 'Daffodil Garden' was located on the side of a mountain, one of the most beautiful sights you could imagine. It looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it down over the mountain peak and slopes. The flowers were planted in majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, lemon yellow, salmon pink, saffron, and butter yellow. Each different coloured variety was planted as a group so that it swirled and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue. This majestic and magnificent scene on that mountain was made possible by just one lady over a span of 40 years to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountain top. Instead of just 'wishing', she decided to begin bringing her vision to life on that mountain. In the lady’s own words, when asked how she created such an immense garden, she answered, 'One at a time, by one woman, two hands, two feet, and a very little brain.' Still, this unknown, old woman had forever changed the world in which she lived. She had created something of magnificent beauty, and inspiration. The principle her daffodil garden taught us is one of the greatest principles of celebration: Learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time; Learning to love the doing; Learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. The Daffodil Garden Pre school chain encapsulates the above principle in both our philosophy as well as in our teaching methodology. Our aim is to reach every child, one child at a time as we realise that with the accumulation of time and effort, we would not only touch but change every child's life.'Nurturing bright minds, one bulb at a time!'
